Setting up one of the Largest Group Shows in the Trinity Art Gallery – SELECTIONS 2017

Members of the media are invited to meet the SELECTIONS 2017 artists who will be dropping off their works on September 20, from 10 am to noon, in the Trinity Art Gallery at the Shenkman Arts Centre.

AOE Arts Council’s Selections is annual juried visual arts exhibit that will run from September 21 until October 17, 2017. The exhibit will take up both the Salons A and B of the Trinity Art Gallery at the Shenkman Arts Centre.

WHEN

 

Artwork drop off and meet artists: September 20, from 10 am to noon
Vernissage: September 21, 7p.m. to 9 p.m.

Exhibit dates: September 21 to October 17, daily 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Culture Days Meet the Artists: October 1, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
People’s Choice Award announced: October 18

Photo opportunity and interviews with artists. Advance look at 42 artworks in the show including: painting, sculpture, ink, mixed media, organics, photography and fibre art

Members of the public, arts supporters, and media are invited the vernissage on Thursday, September 21 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The highlight of the night will be the announcement of the Juror’s Choice award winners.

About SELECTIONS
AOE Arts Council's annual SÉLECTIONS exhibition promotes Ottawa artists by featuring jury selected works created by visual arts members. For over 15 years, this exhibit has attracted hundreds of new and emerging local artists in a range of disciplines including photography, textile arts, marquetry, mixed media, printmaking, sculpture, acrylic, oil, ceramic, drawing and

watercolour. The month long exhibit provides a professional setting in the Salons A and B of the Trinity Art Gallery at the Shenkman Arts Centre for local artists to share and sell their work.
