Graham Thompson, a member of the Metis Nation of British Columbia, was be a keynote speaker at the International Conference of the Creative Design Exchange of Aboriginal Culture in Taiwan at the Chung Yuan Christian University of Taipei (2005).

Thompson has won new media design awards from European Film Festival MEFEST (2004), the International Digital Art Awards of Melbourne Australia (2004), the International Association of Webmasters and Designers of Florida (2004), Cool Site of the Day of New York (2003), the Digital Giraffe of California (2003), and Art Space of Manitoba (2003). Thompson's computer graphics, digital videos and Web sites have been exhibited in Europe, North America, Australia and Asia.

Exhibitions include showings at the Ateneo de Manila University Gallery Manila, University of the Philippines Davao, West Mindanao State University Zamboanga, Pingdong Aboriginal Cultural Park Taiwan, Taipei National University of the Art, Taipei Public Television Station, National Donghua University Aboriginal Art Institute Hualien, the ShunYi Taiwan Aboriginal Museum Taipei, Serbia's international film and video festival MEFEST, the World Social Forum of Mumbai India, Chicago's Experimental Media Show - Pilot TV, the 2004 International Digital Art Awards touring exhibition of Melbourne Australia, the Toronto International Media Arts Biennial, Toronto's ImagineNative Film and Media Arts Festival, Vancouver's New Forms Festival, the Contemporary Art Forum Kitchener| Area (CAFKA) and Ottawa's SAW Video Media Centre.

Thompson graduated from York University of Toronto (1983) and from the British Columbia Institute of Technology of Vancouver (1986).
