GOYA Theatre Productions Inc. was founded and incorporated in 2001, and is now a resident theatre company at Centrepointe Theatre. The company has two specific mandates: namely to produce exclusively Canadian works of theatre and secondly, as the acronym GOYA, suggests Giving Opportunities to Young Artists.

The company has respected this mandate during its five years of activity, having now presented five Canadian musicals (Joey, The Princess and the Pirate, Vaudeville, Menopositive and Magic Man) and four Canadian plays (The Love Nest, The Dinosaur Lady, In the Time of Old Age and this spring A Party to Murder.)

In addition, GOYA started a young peoples` company in 2003 to present children’s theatre during the March school break This March, Jack and The Giant, the third musical, will be presented The 2006 07 season has also now been set. In October 2006 GOYA will present the hit Canadian Musical WAR BRIDES by Joey Miller and Grahame Woods to commemorate the official year of the War Brides.

The spring 2007 production is the play HALF LIFE, the story of an elderly couple living in a seniors’ residence who fall in love. The play is written by John Mighton an award -winning Canadian playwright. GOYA is always looking for actors, directors, production personnel.
