Propeller Dance is an integrated arts organization based in Ottawa with the sole mandate of providing dance programming to persons with and without disability. Propeller Dance believes that everyone deserves access to dance and the arts, not only as audiences, but as movers, students, trainers and choreographers. Propeller Dance provides weekly integrated recreational classes, two classes for children, as well as two classes for youth and adults. Co-executive/co-artistic directors Renata Soutter and Shara Weaver also provide pre-professional dance training and teaching opportunities to members of the Performing Company. The members of the company have performed at events across the city and have provided creative movement workshops at local elementary and secondary schools as well as at various community organizations and rehabilitation centres.

These integrated arts presentations combine puppetry, theatre, storytelling, dance, music and visual art. The music is performed live, on a wide variety of authentic instruments, including hurdy-gurdy, dulcimer, Chinese drums, gongs, synthesizer, bones, bull-roarer, accordion, rain maker, electric guitar and more! Puppeteers present delightful and educational shows for kids of all ages.
