The Impressions in Jazz Orchestra (IJO) is Canada's first symphonic jazz orchestra. Based in Ottawa, the IJO brings together many of Canada's finest professional jazz and symphony orchestra musicians under the direction of conductor and bassist Adrian Cho. This unique ensemble has garnered widespread acclaim from both critics and audiences for its highly entertaining, innovative and educational presentations of seminal jazz-centric music.

Now in its 68th season of presenting great masterworks, the Ottawa Choral Society has been a vibrant force in Ottawa’s cultural community since 1940. With approximately 100 auditioned voices, drawn from communities across the National Capital Region, the historic, symphonic chorus appears with the National Arts Centre Orchestra under the baton of distinguished guest conductors, and with the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra, both as guest artists and concert co-producer.

The Ottawa Symphony Orchestra (OSO), formerly the Ottawa Civic Symphony, was founded in 1965. This community orchestra, made up of professional, student and amateur musicians, is unique in both size and function.
The Ottawa Wind Ensemble was formed in 2005, drawing together current and former Canadian Forces musicians, music teachers, and other professional musicians, in a professional caliber group. Ottawa guitarist Paul Blissett released a guitar instrumental album titled Fire and Soul in 2007. The album has been play listed and is on rotation with a number of Canadian radio/cable stations as well as internet radio in the U.S. and the U.K. Music on the album ranges from the intensity of rock, the beautiful melodies of popular songs to the sincerity of the blues...flamboyant as fire and the innocence of soul. Paul is currently recording two new albums, Luna and Guitar Christmas, both scheduled for release in 2010.
