"This report equally reflects a strong and invested cultural community; it is based on community engagement, recognizes economic realities and sets the stage for commitment and leadership from our council towards achieving a strong, viable and exciting future for our city."
President of AOE Arts Council, Heather Jamieson
"Since May of 2010, we’ve consulted literally hundreds of constituents about priorities. We consulted people from new or newly active, diverse and growing parts of our city - the aboriginal communities, the rural sector, the emerging immigrant communities, the young people who want to stay in Ottawa and grow its creative life. All these new players with their new energy join the established arts and heritage community as entrepreneurs as well as creators."
